Wiregrass Daily News sat down with Bill Baker, a candidate for mayor of Enterprise, to hear his vision for the city's future. His plan focuses on thoughtful growth, improved infrastructure, and community involvement. Baker proposes developing the area around the Veterans Home with an over-55 community to support volunteer efforts for local veterans. He also aims to attract high-paying jobs by enhancing infrastructure, particularly high-speed internet, to support large businesses and boost economic development. Rather than expanding Enterprise into a large city, Baker envisions making it a better city—one that offers new opportunities and becomes a destination while preserving its character. He emphasizes that every resident is a stakeholder and pledges to ensure their voices are heard.
