Wiregrass Daily News had the pleasure of sitting down with Steve Tipton of Vineyard Christian Retreat Center, located in the northeast corner of Coffee County. Founded in 1982 and purchased by the Coffee County Baptist Association in 1991, the retreat provides a place for church groups and families to step away from daily distractions and grow closer to God. The 110-acre campus offers a variety of lodging options, including a conference center that sleeps 160, a lake lodge for 50, and a conference lodge for adult retreats. Family cabins are also available, with pastors and ministers welcome to use them free of charge. In addition to worship and study spaces, the retreat features lakes for canoeing and fishing, an indoor gymnasium, a ball field, obstacle courses, and more. Groups are free to design their own schedules, making each visit unique. More information is available at vineyardretreat.org or by calling 334-762-2256.
