Wiregrass Daily News had the pleasure this afternoon to speak with Holly Meyers, Executive Director of Art in Public Places, about the highly anticipated Loop Music and Art Festival happening in Downtown Dothan this weekend. The two day event is taking place on Friday, April 11th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, April 12th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of music, art, and community. The event will feature performances from 8 live bands, a variety of food trucks offering delicious bites, and numerous art vendors showcasing unique creations. One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the guided or self-guided mural tour, where visitors can explore Dothan’s renowned murals with detailed maps and descriptions of the artwork. In addition to the festival attractions, local businesses along South Foster Street will be open to the public, offering festival-goers a chance to support local. A portion of South Foster Street will also be closed to traffic, so families and attendees can enjoy the festivities safely. Whether you’re coming for the music, the food, the art, or just to enjoy the atmosphere, The Loop Music and Art Festival offers something for everyone. It’s a fantastic way to experience Dothan’s art scene, and culture and creativity, making it an event you won’t want to miss.
